Android gallery · Google Photos alternative
See every photo and video your phone actually holds
Framefound scans your Android storage and surfaces the media Google Photos misses: unsynced, hidden and buried in folders.
Works from your device storage. No cloud account required.

Found in WhatsApp, Telegram, Downloads and Screenshots
Built around finding what is missing
Most galleries show what they have indexed. Framefound starts from what is actually in your storage.
Library
One grid for everything on the phone
Photos and videos from every folder sit together, newest first. Items Google Photos does not have carry an amber mark, and one filter shows only those.
Scan results
See where the missing media came from
After a scan, Framefound lists each source it found, such as WhatsApp, Telegram, Downloads and Screenshots, with how many items sit in each.

Your library should match your phone
The old way
- Photos show up in your file manager but not in your gallery.
- Videos from chats and downloads are skipped.
- You are not sure what is backed up and what is only on the phone.
- A cloud account is the price of seeing your own files.
With Framefound
- Every photo in device storage appears in one library.
- Videos from messaging apps and folders are listed beside photos.
- A Not in Google Photos mark shows which items are missing.
- It reads your storage directly. No cloud account required.
How a scan works
Four plain steps from a library with gaps to one that matches your storage.
-
Allow access to your media
Framefound asks Android for permission to read photos and videos on the device. Nothing is read before you agree.
-
Run a scan
It walks through storage: camera folders, downloads, screenshots and the folders messaging apps create.
-
Review what it found
Results are grouped by source, with the items Google Photos does not show marked in amber.
-
Keep or hide folders
Switch folders on or off. Your library updates to show only what you want to see.
Questions people ask first
Why does Google Photos not show some of my photos?
Google Photos shows what it has indexed or backed up. Media in other folders, downloads and some messaging app folders can be left out. Framefound reads device storage directly so those files appear.
Do I need a cloud account to use Framefound?
No. Framefound reads media from your device storage and does not require a cloud account to show it.
What does Framefound look at on my phone?
Photos and videos in device storage, after you allow media access on Android. Other file types are not part of the library.
Can I hide folders I do not want in my gallery?
Yes. Each folder has a switch, so you can include or hide it from the library.
Does it work with videos too?
Yes. Videos are listed beside photos, including ones from messaging apps and downloads that Google Photos can skip.
